This might be one of the better shots I've seen from these weird and mysterious stones of Stonehenge.

What draws my attention here more than other takes on this location, since it's litterally hundreds of thousands, is the eerie/mystic feeling that's been captured here. To use the little more darker approach and combine that with the long exposure time you have a very dark shot that, atleast for me, works very very well with the atmosphere around Stonehenge alone.

Composition wise, well, there's not much to be said other than fantastic job all over. Angle, height, light, shadow... it's all there and nicely done.

I applaud you for making this shot to be as good as I find it. Landmarks might be THE hardest thing to bring some originality towards. Great job mate!

Wow. There's not much to say about this one. The treatment and subject both work together to really emphasise the sense of mystery and wonder surrounding this place.

The only slight critiques I might offer would be:

1. The composition feels ever so slightly unbalanced. The heavy mass of the stones in the center of the frame lack the contrast evident in the periphery stones, making my eyes want to wander out of the center of the frame. This in itself is not a problem, but I end up feeling like the focal point of the image is incidental, in the bottom left corner, versus a key point in the composition.

2. There seems to be some slight smudges on the top of some of the stones. Birds? I feel that quickly photoshopping them out could help sharpen that central form.

Overall though, the image is superb. Excellent contrast, great subject, and absolutely stunning treatment.

wonderful work , I wished i could have perceived it in the same way while standing there a long time ago although it was still very majestic and captivating. As for composition , I find the piece well balanced and incredibly atmospheric! IR is a brilliant idea , may i ask what time of the day this was taken ?
